Lori, waiting to hear how Gabby treated ya this morning on a wake up call from her LOL

Nicco, 1/2 a gummie would be decent. I just got no desire to go there now. I think a 1/2 bottle of rum would do me best HAHA
Glorious times indefinitely....wowza

Jazz, fingers crossed you get this job you are wanting. never know what might go down.

Ahhh, the 80s are gone? lol.....if we wait long enough they will come back right? haha seems like everthing cycles thru again.

Your friend is a 'we' now. Yea I get that. The chat changes and you feel it. You will go with the flow and change along with the issue too.

prices off the chain at stores, omgosh yes. services and more are so costly....old days I got 20'd to death and thought that was bad enough, then I got 100'd to death but lately it seems that doubled so now it is like everything I am shooting out at least double and getting 200'd to death at a clip. scary actually.

pool leaves gonzo. gonna hit massive chem. to clear water good and finish off some vaccum today and should be getting that under good control today. eh, just keep doing the clean up and pool becomes good.

love the hotter temps coming around now. come on hi 90s lol

woke up around 3am cause I conked out watching tv early and woke up all zippy at 3, omg gonna be long long morning here.

ok let me go wander like a ghost quietly and think up ways to get in trouble later today LOL be good all

Good Morning!

HA! Gabby has been staying outside overnight since it's been warm. DH always checks to see if she wants in before he comes to bed, but she just loves it outside. She came in this morning for breakfast and now wants back out. Hey...she's 14....we let her do what she wants. You all know she runs this house!

I had a really good round of golf yesterday. Went from a horrible score on Monday to one of my best yesterday.....what a game. That's what makes it so frustrating when I play poorly....I know I can do it...WTH happens on those bad days?

---------

Trig....It sounds like you're getting your pool all set to go. I was up at 3AM too, but went back to bed after turning off a fan we had running...it was getting chilly.

Jaz....Hope your dream job comes through. I understand about the dynamics with your friend changing. I hope you two can still have your girl time.

Nic......You are our Pickleball queen! I enjoyed playing years ago before I broke my shoulder, but now with my "bum" knee, not sure I could do it very well.

----------

Well, I need to get myself awake and get moving. Storms coming this afternoon and overnight. Probably no golf tomorrow. I could use a day off, to be honest.

Later!

Good Wed Morning!

Nic- You got a full house incoming! LOLOL Smart move to get new momma and family in a rental for the sake of everyone! I know you are going to have a stellar weekend! Do you have fireworks on the beach there?

Wowsa on the gal pals you have made in DE! I love that! You know the older I get the more I appreciate my friend groups! PRICELESS!

Send pic's - of course!!!! We need to see! LOLOLOL

Lori- Funny how your game rolls. I bet that is what makes it fun. Nothing is set in stone. It also pushes you to play better and better!

Plans this weekend?

Trig- WHOOT on a pool weekend! Love that! Yup- we got full-on summer feel now! The humidity is here, and the temps are here too!
Girl I am right there with ya on give me some rum and skip the gummies. I tried gummies and they did nothing. LOLOL

Is kiddo out of the "doghouse" yet???!!! LOLOLOL
Plans this weekend? Are any trips upcoming? I know you like Huntington Beach!
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Interview at 2pm. I don't want to get my hopes up! This position has 2 weeks of interviews. Tons of people want it. I am feeling every bit of 58 years old right now in the job market.

I also have an appointment right after that to hit up a high end consignment shop. I have a large tub of 30 outfits I don't wear anymore. Whatever they don't take is going directly to the Goodwill! I cleaned out my closest and it feels amazing!
I have been meaning to go through the closet for several months! Some stuff still has tags on them and never worn! Time to go! LOLOL

I was looking at beach rentals for next week! HOLY SMOKES- Nothing under 2k-...... I might need to put that idea on hold. When did prices shoot up like that?????

Feeling good! Actually, feeling great. I lost all but 1 pound of the weight gained and bloat. ALMOST back to my new low.
I am back to my happy go lucky, single and freedom mood!

HAHAH - I think we all have days that seem like bummers. Thankfully those don't hang on me long! All is well.

Looking forward to a holiday weekend!

Have a great day

Good Morning!

Just a puttering around day today. Woke up to t-storms and heavy rain. We had planned to take the day off from golf anyway, but could do without the storms! Nothing like the terrible storms in the mid-west. I don't know how you deal with something like that.

I'm going to do some cooking today.....bacon and meatballs. I always have cooked bacon on hand and DH wants spag & meatballs for dinner. I also have a mountain of laundry to handle.

That's it from here. Still hear thunder rumbling in the distance. I think it's supposed to clear out later this morning.

Have good days!

Good Thursday Morning!

I ALMOST typed WED!!! - Lordy I need a job! LOL

Lori- I saw that regarding those Midwest storms! So scary. We take so much for granted in that we rarely get those type of storms. However, when I lived in Ohio they did. I remember many times taking the kids to the basement! I think also it is only getting worse with climate change. It is a real thing.

I love a good putter day. I am doing laundry today as well!

I love the smell of a pot roast on those putter days!

Nic- You are in the full swing of a holiday weekend with a full house and THEN SOME! LOLOL- Escape here if ya want a break! LOL LOVE the family time!

Trig- It is going to be STELLAR weather through the weekend. I know you and your family will be using that sparkling pool of yours!

Is the Chop still working all those crazy hours? -
Did you ever get that grill??? They got sales going for them! If I had a place to grill I would be all over that!
----------------------------------------------------------------

I followed up with the HR lady regarding the interview from yesterday. I am just waiting for the "Dear John" letter. It didn't go well. I didn't have the "look".
I was afraid of that before I even went, and I was right. I really wanted that job too!
But they are looking for someone who... how to say this and not get tossed off here....... LOL ... is of the same racial descent of those they are working with. I will leave it at that.
NEXT..........

Got my office cleared out and ready for "my" work. I had work files all over the place, pens, papers, it needed cleaned out.

I will take a look at the job boards today and see what is shaking there. I have the travel recruiters emailing and texting me. I so do not what to take another travel gig unless I just absolutely have too. My wallet will tell me! LOLOL

I ask my DS if he would start walking with me over his lunch hour a few times a week. I need to move more! It would help hold me to the fire to get a P to walk with. So, I will meet him today. Walking is a great place to start!

WOE- Chicken and beef burgers today. Easy peasy.

Ok- I am out to enjoy some sun!

Hi all

Just a quick check in from me today- Youngest has graduated college, three for three, done and done. Well, DS25 still has a little in his account toward his law school but the MONEY part is done and everyone has at least an undergrad degree. Hooray!

So it is now no longer five 22 year olds plus DS22, but EIGHT (including DS22, I think) which is just insane. There will be male bodies from floor to rafter quite literally! OMG. I will be nibbling gummies or drinking myself silly, one or the other, over the next couple of days!

Book club tonight, didn't finish the book. Close but not quite.

Lori yea those big storms can be scary. I don't like when the thunder hits low and shakes the house. But I do still love watching a big storm, I find them fascinating. Gabby being outside is a good thing right HA

Jazz, even tho one falls thru another good job will hit for ya.
I get being older in the market but with your experience something that floats your boat will hit so hang in there.
Very cool you can walk some with your son.

Nicco, wow on your 3 and 3, graduated and done Hooray!
Your place is gonna be packed! I'm anxious just reading about it HA, do a cheers shot for me too LOL

-----------pool aint' sparklin totally but on its way there gotta do some finish cleaning work on it then filter filter filter and all should be good to go sooner than later.
So doing pool work today.

No, kiddo ain't out of the dog house yet, that really irked me on that behavior truly leaving that other vehicle even tho it wasn't damaged.....so I am on her butt now for doing tons of chores and she is still doing them as I ask. She washed a sink of dishes and folded some laundry and other things and she goes, I did enough now right and I am like heck no.....you think that covers like a grand for your car body work? I don't know what income per hr she is thinking she is earning here lol but next is she is going to power wash the house. my vinyl is getting a bit streaky so needs a good pressure power wash and she is on deck to do that.

At this point truly why bother with a part time job? She has a full week in Orlando end of July and goes back to Uni in more early Aug. so to bother a work place for like 4-5 wks worth of work and quit for back to college isn't worth it to me. I said forget a p/t job this summer and since you are still on punishment for your crimes I am still gonna make her do bigger work around here. whatever kinda thing...ugh...lol

zc going very well.

ok just gonna roll thru the day and see what crazy goes down, be good all

Good Morning!

A beautiful day on tap! I have coerced DH to come and play golf with me. My normal partner is playing in a tournament today with some friends she used to work with, so I was at loose ends. I don't know if he's thrilled about it, but he's gonna do it! He always says he's going to start playing again, but always drags his feet when I give him the opportunity. Sigh......

Weekend weather looks good except for Monday....wouldn't you know...that's when our Couple's tournament is at the club. My little 85 year old partner doesn't like to play golf in the rain. Who does? I don't know what they'll do....cancel....reschedule, or just play on. Whatever. Playing in the rain is not fun, but I've done it before.

--------

Trig......It sounds like you've got DD on the job! I'm sure you can keep her busy for the few weeks that she's home. How's the sciatica?

Jaz......Nice plan to get out walking with your son. Do you take Ruger along?

Nic.....Do you feel like you're waking up in a Frat house? Are you cooking breakfast for all of them?? I can't believe your youngest is thru college. I swear he just started last year!

--------

Well, DH says he's going to play, so I'll pack us a cooler with snacks and away we'll go. We don't have a tee time until 11, so he's going to go to the park for a couple hours and then come home and change clothes and grab his clubs. I'm sure he'll play well...he's a natural.

Happy Friday!

TGIF Ladies!

NIC- Hysterical over the 22-year-old male bodies from top to bottom of your house! LOLOL. I would be chewing on those gummies too! LOL No kidding! Are you cooking for a bunch of boys???? They eat you out of house and home! LOL
So, cool you got them all through school! Your work is done!

What book did you read for Book Club? Any beach time?

LORI- Look at you taking hubby to play with you! I think it's cool! Awesome day on tap for you! Golf, beer and hubby! Make a day of it! Great way to get your weekend started!

TRIG- - Cool beans on getting chores out of the Kiddo. I think that is totally fair. You could even take the total of the car repair ie... 1000.00 and then place a dollar amount per chore. That way she can see the value of the cost and money. Just a thought.

I know you are going to have that pool up and running in fine form by the weekend for sure!

How is the MIL cleanup going?
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Going to be a beautiful day on tap. The weather is going to be stellar all weekend long!

I don't have any real plans yet. I have had something going every weekend for the last few weeks, so it is nice to not have anything I HAVE to do!

Going to get a walk in for sure. I felt pretty out of shape on my walk yesterday! My DS was like OMG mom are you ok? LOLOL Yup just so out of shape! Turning that around! I need to put the SLOTH animal away!

WOE- I am thinking taco bowl! (no chips) - meat, boiled eggs, salsa, and lactose free sour cream (I have not tried it yet). I will "see" how that goes! LOL

Later gators- Have to go be productive! LOL

Good Morning!

Another beautiful day Maybe t-storms tonight, but all looking good now. Took DH to the golf course with me yesterday.....OY. It was fine, but he drives the cart too slowly and just doesn't play at the speed I'm used to. We had to wait a lot on the groups in front of us, but when it was finally our turn, I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying "Come on!!!!!!!!!" Sigh.....

Not much time this morning. I have to start getting ready to go in about 1/2 an hour. I still need another cup of coffee and need to dig up something for breakfast. I wish I could eat eggs every morning, but I just can't. Some days I just can't face them in the morning.

Gotta fly!!!!!!!

Good Morning!

Lori- I am LOLOLOL'ing over your poor DH playing with you!
I am assuming you are playing with your normal P today! LOL.
Yay for some nice weather!

I don't eat eggs every day either! I like the thought of eggs. But there is only so much I want. Did you eat out yesterday with hubby?

Trig- Pool weekend? Grill? Rum? Music? LOL - That would make for a great weekend!

Nic-Are you surviving? A house full of "kids"! Are you cooking for the masses?
-----------------------------------------------------------

Well, I am moving slow today. My gal pal offered to pick me up last night and we headed to the outdoor concert. Our community has weekly concerts at the rec center.
Everyone brings a lawn chair and coolers and such. They have a fairly decent stage and sound system. The venue holds thousands. I would say a good 2 thousand people came last night. It was the kickoff to summer festivals! It was ROCKIN literally!
Of course, yours truly danced my butt off. Add that to the fact it was HOT out, I was sweating like crazy, and the wine was flowing. Makes for a slow-moving day today! LOLOL Recovery in progress.
MEH- its raining here today anyway! Ya only live once- SO DANCE!

Got laundry spinning and a load drying!

WOE- I am thinking keto chili (no beans) or sloppy joe.

Oh BTW- that walk I took with the son......... The back of my calves are still so sore! Time to rest them! LOL

Off to chillax.

Good Morning!

Jaz the Dancing Queen! Sounds like a fun time.

----------

Had a good day on the golf course yesterday, except for the slow pokes in front of us. I shot my best round of the year! We have our Couple's Tournament tomorrow and the weather is looking a bit sketchy. We may get chased off the course by t-storms. Today I'm just playing with my regular partner. Tomorrow will be "Bobby" 5 feet tall and 85 years old, blind in one eye. Oh yes, we are a power "couple".

We had a rough night around here. Bat in the house at 1:15 this morning. DH got it with a tennis racket and we went back to bed. It took a bit to get back to sleep and then Gabby came and got me at 4 o'clock to go out. Back to bed and then up at 6.

DH is going to a picnic today with a bunch of his hunting buddies. Sounds good to me....he'll eat big at lunch time and can fend for himself for dinner. I'll eat at the club before I come home.

Time to get moving. Happy Sunday!

Happy Memorial Day all.

Lori gosh you have me snickering here over Nicco having a Frat house and your comment on the little old guy and being a power couple.....and then the house bat shows up and a tennis racket?
Not a golf club HAHA ....too funny!!!

Hey Nicco, did ya survive? all the bodies taking over your home

Jazz, ditto on you being a dancing queen! sounds like a fun time. You sure have settled in very well in this location...it really seems to fill your checklist for a great place to settle down.

------------pool work today. friggin' thing was kinda ok and near good and then days and days of rain and I kinda didn't work it much and damn thing going green again......so hit with big chems last night and today is 100% work on pool.

I really think this is the last yr. I am kinda SO OVER it. I think over late fall I am gonna call a pool company and have them remove the entire thing....shouldn't cost too much and I think I am gonna put up a gazebo and jacuzzi spa cause I got water and electric to my pool location, I might just commit and do it.
The work on the pool now is getting friggin' annoying as heck....eh....

So hubby said he wants to sell cause he is sick of all the land and barn work still on our 5 acres here and the house needs maintenance, new porch, etc and I was like, wow, I will start checking beach areas and he says, no we ain't doing a beach house yet, he says I wanna sell this and rent a house in the area and I am like screw that.....lol....leave a paid for home and pay rent on another home? my brain don't work that way lol.....I said I ain't moving one darn stick of crap from this house to another unless it is a coastal permanent home so I said get that idea out of your brain. I nixed his crazy thoughts fast...nope that ain't me. I move 1 time it is to my beach home, over and out... No telling what crazy Vern has running this his mind?

Like Lori, I get rid of the Chop today. He is a volunteer to bbq cook for his car job with another guy so he will be there from like 7am til ?? who knows.....those guys have to feed alot of people, that bbq is gonna be smoking lol.....but today for me is just steak and burger. We aren't doing anything big here.

big Tstorms last night. lightening was scary as heck actually.
the big thick bolts to the ground, and like real wide and bright flash, and ya can hear that electric crack sound... ugh. I love big storms but this spooked me a bit.

so saw big storm coming and cut off filter to the pool. don't wanna ever surge and fry the filter motor so I was gonna filter all night but that plan got fried lol....PIA lol

ok off I go to deal with crap here but everyone enjoy your day!!

Good Morning!

Happy Memorial Day! No storms around here yet, but they are coming later today. I hope we get our golf tournament in before it gets here.

-------

Trig.....Your explanation of those big storms make me cringe. I hate those close lightning strikes and big wind. Freaks me out. I'm with you on not wanting to move until you find the place you want to be for a long time. Why do you think he's not ready for beach life? It would be a big step for sure, but oh so wonderful.

Nic.....How is the Frat house going? Are they still there?

Jaz.....Have you recovered from your night of dancing and wine?

-------

I talked to Bobby at the golf course yesterday and he said he won't let me hanging today...he'll be there. He doesn't play in the rain, but he said he'll show up this morning. Hoping the weather holds off until this afternoon. We'll see.

I'm not sure what I'll come up with for DH to eat tonight. I'll eat at the club and won't feel like messing with anything. Luckily, he's happy with something very light and simple. He's not a big eater. I get so tired of thinking about it EVERY day. First world problems for sure.

Have a great day!
