Well, this time the "down two" stayed down and did not bounce back up!

Then I was surprised to see another down one!

Does this constitute "the whoosh effect" for a Turtle? LOL

Hi, my wake up call to stay on a healthy eating plan..was being admitted to the hospital with diverticulitis. I finally figured out after years of going back and forth vegetarian, vegan and keto, that it was vegetarian/vegan diet that landed me in the hospital. I have intolerances... I have to stay completely off grains and dairy. fun fun fun in the kitchen I can't even eat Atkins bars (oat and rice fiber) or Quest bars (oat fiber) or Atkins candy (dairy) so I need to learn to eat to live instead of living to eat.

Bummer about the dairy...cheese and all its relatives are handy for low-carb cooking. However...

Avocados!
Mayonnaise (avocado or olive oil types)
Coconut oil
Bacon, bacon, bacon

Lots of delicious fats can make cooking fun again.

All those commercial snack bars are trash, so you're well rid of them. However, you might investigate recipes for making your own, with better ingredients and no icky fillers.

Sorry about the hospital. Please stay out.

I was so excited about my 3-pound loss
Too excited too soon
Wondering how I manage to gain weight on less than 20 carb grams/day (and fasting 14 hours). So, I looked at my stats and see my sodium consumption is at 157% of guidelines.
Surprised to see how much sodium was in bacon and eggs for breakfast

Of course, I am only planning on losing 15 more pounds, and I hear it is those last 15 pounds that are the headest

And its normal to bounce. Weight loss is not linear.

Yes. They are. And this is when the scale becomes the least helpful, I can tell you.

I am thinking of trying the raw thyroid you were talking about on another thread.

The only time I lost significant weight and got down to 145 was when the Dr put me on thyroid

When he took me off thyroid and put me on Dexadrine - I gained it all back

I think its because when one are fasting, plus under 20 grams per day
one is going into starvation mode, and the metabolism gets very slow, hence the calories that one is eating, the body will store from the threat of starvation so hence the weight gain. Enter exercise to increase the metabolism. If one has the energy to exercise ?
