Hi e,
How are things? I have just checked in after 4 days as we went to Eskdale for a camping trip. Wow, it's so lovely up there we are looking to buy a property on the Mitta river, but they are very hard to find.We had a great time even though we didn't catch any fish, just a few lousy carp. The fresh air was good, and it's a bit cooler up that way too.

I thought I might have a bit of trouble going away and trying to LC, but I made myself some snacks and bread before we went and then we ate steak, eggs and chops on the barbie while we were there and I had salad and mushrooms ,while the guys ate spuds etc. It worked out OK.

I would love to go to the gym and walk, but until they fix my back I can't. But that's the good thing about LCing I am still losing weight without any extra exercise than my normal daily work and a bit of housework. When I did low fat I walked for an hour every day and that helped me lose weight, but if I didn't walk the scales didn't move.

The bread I make is really easy and is done in the microwave. It isn't like flour bread, but when it's hot out of the oven or toasted it's not bad. It has about 2.7g carbs per small loaf which I get 2 thick slices or 4 thin slices out of. I make it in a jug so the slices are round and about 10cm across, but with nice ham and cheese, two sandwiches are very filling for a meal.I love icecream too, so I make a cheesecake mix and stir in strawberries and freeze it in those kids Decor icecream thingys. It cures my craving for icecream.

A few of the women at work have done WW, but they either haven't stuck with it or they reached their goal weight and then went back to their old eating habits and regained it all back and sometimes more. I have done that too and realise now whichever lifestyle I choose I have to stick to or I will put on the lbs again.I think I will be able to stick with LC for good, I hope so anyway.

My hubby is diabetic and I tried to get him to LC with me, but he only stuck with it for a few days. He really loves his bread and spuds. I tried making him LC pizzas and bread etc but he wasn't keen on them. He is very supportive of my choices though and doesn't criticise. He is a good cook and even tries to modify recipes to suit me, which is great as I enjoy his cooking and it's nice to have a break sometimes. When I cook we usually have steak, chicken or fish and I make him spuds or chips and we have a salad with it or cauli and broccoli which he likes. I don't have to cook too differently for the two of us.

We used to work odd hours as well, but now we both start at 7am and we get to have meals together and spend more time together which is great after me working afternoon shift for nearly 8 years. I had to get used to getting up early as I used to go to bed at 2am and then sleep in, but I've managed to adjust now.
Will catch you soon.
Caz

Hi guys

Dave> How are u having the fibre X from Empower? I tried some the other day and it was awful, went straight into the bin. I made it up with just water though. How do u do it??

Hows everyone else going?? I have been getting side tracked a lot lately. Still sticking to below about 60grams a day, but feeling as guilty as hell for it though since i had programmed my brain to accept 20grams or less. The weight loss is quite slow atm too, am on 74kgs. really wanted to get down to 70kgs for the end of this month but doubt it will happen now ah well hopefully for xmas i can be that weight. I have found it hard to stay motivated atm, have so much going on in my life and a lot of social occassions atm too which dont help at all.

Hope the rest of u are ok, was wondering where everone had got to
