If you put heavy whipping cream in an omelet you can crisp the outsides of the omelet very well. It is not like a normal omelet where you just get a hard-ish thin layer of crackly nasty egg if you over-cook it. Think the texture of browned/burnt cheese.

or you could just not overcook it in the first place...

I know what you mean, though. It comes out good that way. But I usually share my eggs with my wife and she does not want the heavy cream in the eggs. So I just use more butter

If I'm not frying eggs in bacon grease I usually put 6 eggs in a bowl with a half cup of heavy whipping cream, fry it in a third to a half a stick of butter.

Making myself hungry lol...

I like fried eggs best when they're served over warm slices of ham. You take a bite of egg and ham together -- yum!

Right? I usually do it with a ham steak with a slice of cheese between the egg and the ham.

So good.

I miss toast with eggs too! I love soft boiled eggs with toast "soldiers" - strips for dipping. I've yet to find a decent substitute.

Lately I've been having ham and fried eggs over salad. Have been dealing with a plethora of lettuce this year. Started eating salad 3 times a day. Turns out I really like it! Toss the lettuce with vinagrette, heat the ham, cook the eggs and dump it all on top. Yum!

If you overcook the egg whites on a high heat so that go crunchy on the outside, they taste so much better - crunchy and sweet. Yum.

It's PERFECT - right weight, right taste, decent texture, 2 carbs!

I think you need to post your exact recipe in the Kitchens forum so that we all can get the same thing you got! Please Please?

5 egg yolks, 1whole egg, 1/2cup heavy cream, fried in lard. Best omlete ive ever had.

With egg whites and an equal amount of coconut flakes, until it makes a thick batter-like substance and fry in coconut oil. Awesome pancackes. Add sweetener to taste, or a few dark chocolate chips.

Likewise, I don't care for egg whites, so I make omelets. Whip up the whites and yolks together, add spinach and grated cheese (I add an ounce of each), and any meat I have left over from supper, or bacon (lightly browned before cooking the eggs), and viola! -- instant goodness!

Okay, not "instant"...but pretty quick and infinitely better than white slime!

I could eat this plain - as a matter of fact I did this morning!!!!

As an FYI, preground flax seeds (meal) goes rancid very quickly and can sometimes smell fishy when this happens. Make sure to store it in the freezer.
