Question Pcos - Lc - Icsi

Hi!!

I´m Alexndra from Europe (30yrs,224lbs,pco with insuline resistance)

My husband and I would like to have a baby.
We need fertility help because my husband has a retrograde ejaculation (well thats the german word, it means the semen goes into the bladder) and I have a pcos.
So we started off with insemination and had one icsi and one cryo-cycle.
With all the hormons I had to take and all the carbohydrates they told me to eat (well and I loved them).. I gained about 86 lbs in the last 18 months.

My doctor told me that I have to loose about 60 lbs before he can do an egg pickup again.

Can you tell me if it is possible to do treatment while beeing under LC??
I know it would be better to loose weight first. But the last 2 yrs were so hard for us, that we just don´t manage to loose another year!
We thought about starting again in october....

I take medication for my thyroid gland (subfunction) and 2 x 850mg of metformin...but I think that should be ok during the LC!

Well,I´m thankful for every I get!!!

CU, Alexandra

I see no reason why a fertility doctor, knowing you have PCOS, which comes from being severely insulin resistant would have you eating many carbs in the first place. To save your life and preserve your health, you should never do anything but a low carb diet. You should also check into Metformin and go to some of the PCOS sites.
