Default Atkins frozen dinners

Anyone try any of them and, did you stall or are they okay.

I was thinking of having pizza this weekend with the cauliflower crust but
noticed that there was a frozen atkins pizza.

Never tried one. I did look it up and it has 11g net carbs which seems kind of high.

People are fairly divided on the subject. My best advice is for you to read the ingredient list on whichever frozen meal you are considering and see if everything listed is ok with your plan.

I have tried several of the frozen dinners, and have a couple in the freezer for emergencies. The only ones I was comfortable with here the plainer ones - beef and broccoli, chicken and broccoli. For me, I haven't tried the pizza due to the ingredients. I would rather make the deep dish pizza quiche from the recipe section or order a real pizza and eat the toppings. That's just me.

Everyone is different and you will have to find what works best for you.

The beef and broccoli is really good. Mygrandson was over the other day and he was starving so we checked out the fridge and freezer and I pushed the B&B because it has a lot of beef and gravy mmmmmmmm. He actually loved and asked his mother to buy some. She is low carb too but won't read a book and still won't eat butter LOL
By the way, she is a size 0 and totally fit....

So I told her to get the carbs out of the house with her kids too and this is a really good alternative for them to self serve when they want instead of other garbage like hot pockets, corndogs, top raman, cereal or whatever other carb...

I keep a couple for emergencies too. They may sit for a couple of months but are great when you need quick food without big carbs.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll just stick with my cauliflower crust pizza.

if you want something a little less labor intense, portabellos make a great pizza base. just scoop gills, fill with toppings of choice and bake at 350 until cheese is bubbling. i like to broil them at end.

i also have liked the plainer meat and veggies Atkins meals like the Chicken and broccoli with alfredo and the insides of the chicken pot pie, but would steer clear of the pizza or any of the fake bread ones= wheat and i are not friends.

I agree about the Atkins pizza. I read the ingredients and put it back in the store....The crustless Atkins pot pie is good too.

I have taken the pizza to work for a quick lunch several times. Its not great, but easy. If I was home.....I would do like was already suggested and order a real pizza and just eat the toppings!
