Default Fruit or psyllium

Does anybody here eat any fruit at all? I haven't had a piece of fruit in seven months. The only carbs I eat are from pumpkin seeds, peppers, and green beans, for the most part, and my digestion is terrible. I try to stay away from insoluble fiber as much as possible because of my IBS so I don't eat many vegetables. I haven't had a normal bowel movement in months. I try to get enough fats, usually coconut oil, eggs, pumpkin seeds, and animal fat, but it doesn't seem to help. Is it okay to add an apple or two to back into to my daily diet or should I try psyllium? Any suggestions? Thanks.

It sounds to me more like you are still eating something that is causing a problem. You need to find out what it is before you start adding more foods.

It seems like every time I eat meat it messes up my stomach. I don't know what to do.

I would suggest you try adding psyllium to your diet (metamucil). they offer a sugar free version.

Raspberries?

In another book I'm reading, it's suggested that magnesium is useful for constipation.... just a thought.

Also make sure you're drinking plenty of water. I have noticed that when I think I'm drinking enough, I'm still having issues. I increase my water even more, and VOILA! I'm "cured".

What do you eat when you are not eating meat?
What happens when you eat meat?

Magnesium helps with constipation, plus drinking more water than you are used to. Start with these two steps first. Psyllium makes me constipated...On the other hand, some people like to use it because it helps them...
Raspberries are also a great way to get things moving down there.

It sounds like you have a food intolerance issue with something you are regularly eating. A food intolerance is basically an allergic reaction. I recently started treatment with a technique called Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) and have to say the results have been quite amazing thus far. Its pretty freaking amazing but it actually seems to be working. I haven't had any IBS flare ups in months now and I'm eating foods I once reacted very strongly to.
