Default Re-Introduction

I have a long history of on and off again low carb. Been on this site since early 2000's.

I had a heart attack and triple bypass in 2009 and stents in 2014.
Highest weight was 170. Through many years of low carb, low fat, exercise, binging, fasting, rinse, repeat, I have lost almost 50 pounds.

I'm married to a thin, athletic man that thinks "fat makes you fat" and is concerned. I finally came out as a binge eater a week ago and informed my DH that I will be eating keto/lc from now on. He will have to get used to seeing me put cream in my coffee and having cheesy taco salads, etc.

Since re-committing to a keto/low carb life style about a week ago, I have discovered that this is the key to controlling the binge eating. I feel a freedom from junk food as long as I follow this plan.

I plan to continue my journal and post and hopefully make a few low carb friends.

I ended 30 years of yo-yo dieting and made this a lifestyle 4 years ago. It was the best decision I ever made. I was (am?) a binger, too. Some OP foods can still be a problem for me, but it is not early the same kind of problem as I had when binging on cookies or Halloween candy. This WOE puts us in the driver's seat with our eating. Good food and good health. Who need the junk? I wish you the best as you recommit.

Hi Ken,
Great job on your success at this. It's nice to hear from people who have been doing this long term.
