Default Secretly felt glad

This is the place to go for confessions right?? Well, I started to gain weight on Atkins all summer, and my doctor suggested that I try South Beach. SB is the diet of choice of a work friend. She decided to start her diet again, when I told her that I was going to give SB a whirl. Well, here comes the confession part.....today, I was asked if I was loosing weight!! I was like, "Why yes I am! Thanks for noticing, you made my day!" My friend was steaming mad, she walked away, and didn't talk to me for awhile!! I felt a huge chunk of guilty happiness of having someone noticing my weight loss, and not hers. (she is one of those really tiny things, that you look at and ask yourself why the Hell does she need to loose weight kind of people ) I know, I know, it is so mean to feel that way, but I felt really, really good that someone else noticed that I was loosing! I mean, I could tell, but my husband couldn't, and now someone that I work with noticed. That kind of stuff keeps me going! Thanks for letting me confess.

Default Well,

if your friend was steaming mad, I'd say it's pretty much even. It's not right to resent someone getting WELL DESERVED PRAISE!!! So, enjoy the warm glow of the compliment and dump the guilt!! But enjoy the snicker anyway. It's not like you did it to her or even had any control over it..

Congrats! It is a little funny that she got so mad.

I'll confess while I'm here; I like when guys who are in their late teens/ early 20s (not any older than that though) smile at *me* and not my mother anymore. It makes me feel pretty because she was a little beauty queen back in the day, and it's almost like she's passing the torch to me now. hahaha
