Question what foods are always in your fridge since low-carbing?

I just finished grocery shopping and I couldn't help but laugh as I was putting my food up on the conveyor belt at the store. Boy has my shopping list changed. I still have to buy other things for my kids and hubby but for me the change is incredible. I thought I would list some things I must have now and see if others want to list some of theirs.

Eggs, (yes I had them before but never have I been so concerned with making sure I get them. I am one off those peekers now that has to check the carton and look at each egg, LOL)

heavy cream (great use instead of milk in scrambeled eggs and also if I get a craving for something sweet)

cheese and salami, (my new midnight snack)

Lettuce

ranch dressing (no more low fat dressing for this girl)

Chicken breast (throw some bacon and cheese on them and tadah!!!!!!!!!!!!dinner)

cauliflower (believe it or not, I never had this before inless it was breaded, now I can't live without it)

butter (real butter) "I can't believe it is real butter" LOL

Steaks (ribeye, new york strip, you name it)

well these are the main things that I must have now. My grocery bill is much smaller than before. For a year I was buying slim fast shakes and healthy choice meals and those are not cheap. Now I am getting real food that gives me real results and they sure do taste better than the bland low-fat foods!!!!!!!!!!

Butter
Eggs
cream
Bacon, bacon, bacon
Genoa salami
Cream cheese (I never bought this before)
cheese (often shredded mozarella)
steaks
chicken (usually thighs)
ground beef
salad-in-a-bag
Marie's refrigerated ranch dresing

vegetables -- just getting into this; whatever looks good. I don't have a staple yet

Default bacon ?

No, I haven't found an air freshener but I did start cooking my bacon in the microwave. A friend gave me that tip and it tastes so much better. Wrap it in paper towels and it just turns out better.

I love the answers to this question, I am making notes and maybe my next trip will include a few new items, lol

The best tip I got was on this list ... somewhere ... just shop the edges! Now there is very little I need in the aisles ... maybe a can of coffee for hubby or a box of cheese nips for my daughter.

Here's what I get for me:

Eggs (of course)
cream cheese
deli counter -- love boars head sandwich meats and cheeses
sour cream
mayo
cream
beef (steaks, hamburger, and an occasional roast)
boneless chicken breasts
lettuce
peppers red and green
frozen spinach
mushrooms
onion
plum tomato or two
Wasa crackers
bacon, but I don't eat it that often

~A thin me.
I make creamed spinach (heavy cream, cream cheese, sour cream, parmasean, garlic clove, white pepper and onion) (it tastes like Boston markets) and I make a ricotta /parma. quiche (ricotta, eggs, heavy cream, parma. and a sprinkle of cheddar). For some reason just before my TOM I crave spinach. I don't really want it any other time. Gina-
