Default Dairy on candida diet? What about buttermilk

Buttermilk is so disgusting to me, just by itself, I figure there's no way it can be bad for us. Right? In my experience, only tasty things will hurt you.
That being said, I am not getting a consistent read on whether or not you can have dairy on the candida diet. What's the general opinion here? Since I can't have vinegar, and I loooooove ranch dressing on my salads, I want to make the buttermilk/sour cream version of ranch dressing. Will this be a workable substitute?

I don't know if it would be an acceptable substitute, as I find ranch utterly disgusting. However, I eliminated most of my candida and never gave up any dairy.

Really? That's encouraging. I could totally live with my old dessert treat of cream cheese with some whipping cream stirred in. Of course, it's better with berries, but that can wait.

It's not in my mouth, doesn't appear to be in my digestive track anymore, but it's still in my ears. However, it's been in my ears for about 4 yrs undiagnosed, and I've only been trying to get rid of it, with varying degrees of determination for 6 months. And I've been having my cream cheese and whipping cream and cheeses.

How did you know you had it in your ears and how did you determine that it was gone from your gut?

all my swelling and bloat went down in my stomach. I've known for years I'm wheat intolerant, and subsequently haven't been a heavy grain eater. I'm asymptomatic except for the darn ears.

The ears, I can't recall how I figured it out. They get worse if I have sugar or high carbs, they're itchy, some discharge, and most ickily of all, when you swab them out in the morning, they smell like yeast...
