Cool Chinese Style Spareribs

Chinese Style Spareribs

ingredients:
(1) 1/4 cup of soy sauce
(2) 1 clove of crushed garlic
(3) 1/2 tsp of onion powder
(4) 1/4 cup of SF marmalade jam / appricot jam
(5) 2 tbsps of SF ketchup
(6) 4 lbs of spareribs

Using a crock pot.
Combine ingredients (1) to (5).
Brush the sauce on the ribs, leave for at least 30 min.
Place the ribs in a crock pot, pour in the remaining sauce.
Cook on low for 8 to 10 hrs.

Using an oven. (Method provided by the lovely & talented Ms. Doreen T )
Combine ingredients (1) to (5).
Marinate the ribs in the sauce for 30 min at room temp. Or cover & refrigerate for longer.
Put ribs & sauce in a large (greased) casserole dish.
Cover the dish. Bake at 325F (160C) for 90 min to 2 hrs.
Remove cover, bake for another 30 min.
**The trick will be to prevent the ribs from drying out in the oven. Make sure that the cover stays on, and maybe add a little water if they seem to get too dry.
