So, I've lost 32 pounds in the last 6 months. And I retired. And I'm going to two BIG weddings in the next two months (both of my kids are getting married!).

NSV - I've had a LOT of fun shopping for dresses. One dress is a size 10 and the other is a size 8! And they aren't baggy, only-touch-at-the-shoulders styles either!

NSV - Even shoe shopping has been fun. I haven't fully lost a half-size, but almost; everything fits better and my feet don't look like they are stuffed into the shoes.

NSV - Shopped yesterday for "foundation" garments (i.e. underwear and a "shaper"). I got a real bra fitting, since I really needed a new size. I had taken a guess (38B) and it was wayyy too big. She fitted me with a 34D! She said, "You thought you had little boobs on a big body, but you've got big boobs on a little body." She said "little body"!!!!! I did wind up telling her that I'd lost weight recently, but she hadn't known that then.
Putting the girls in a bra that fit felt like I had brand new boobs!

NSV - I felt so good with my new boobs, I let the bra-fitter talk me into a free makeover on the other side of the store. I walked out feeling great. My DH verified that I looked like a million bucks!

Interestingly, the bra-fitter was very overweight and when I mentioned that I'd recently lost 30+ lbs, she said something like, "you need new pretty things after all that hard work to lose that weight." I said that, indeed, I need new things, but that it wasn't that hard since I did it by low carb eating. I was about to say I eat steak, eggs and bacon, fajitas (no tortillas)..., but she quickly said, "Oh, that would be hard for me. I've GOT to have my bread."

Live well.
