Thumbs up Folios Cheese Wraps

I found these at my grocery store this morning (a small FreshCo). They were a little pricey at $7.00 for a 4-pack, but I really wanted to try them. I'll come back and edit this with a review.

Nutrition info here: Folios

The company is based in NJ, so I'm guessing yes.

The store locator on the website seems buggered up, though.

I tried these once and they were so gross to me that i couldnt even get through the few in the one single pack i bought. Couldnt get through them in weeks and weeks. I was so disappointed. Definitely just tasted like bad, cheap cheese to me. Horrible flavor.

Maybe they’ve changed since then, im just reporting what was the case when i saw and tried tjem
Last year.

Really? I tried one last night and really liked it. I was afraid it would be too salty like most cheap parmesan is, but it was mild. It basically tasted like provolone cheese. Provolone is my least favorite "sandwich" cheese, but I can see that they have to go for texture over flavour here: it has to hold together when you fold it.

So I'd absolutely buy these again, though I think they'll be a treat. The equivalent amount of normal cheese would cost less than $2. Meat n' cheese roll-ups are a staple for me, and these are a lot less messy than other kinds of cheese.

Interesting! I like the review, and it is making me hopeful and optimistic enough to see what the other flavors are, and maybe try again!

I meant to add in my post, that maybe they were mishandled and went funky? At work, we've had the same brand of cheese for years, but sometimes, even though it's nowhere near expired, it tastes like a dirty sock... or it's either extra-crumbly or extra-rubbery. We figure it got left out or something. And it's always the entire case.

I like them. Found them at ALDI. I think Trader Joe’s has them too.
