Default Fell a long time ago..ready to get back up!!

Hello everyone. Many years ago (2004 or so) I lost 128 lbs doing the low carb lifestyle. my weight stalled with about another 100 I needed to lose and I started to falter. Fast forward a few years and I have gained back all I lost plus added a little more. I am also now in my 40s so everything seems to hurt a little more. I have been severly overweight all my childhood and adult life and I seemed to always be active and just was use to being over weight. Now it seems the smallest task (putting on socks in the morning etc.) are just a daily chore now. I am battling shame, anger and embarrasment trying to do this again. But I am at the end of my rope. I am putting myself out there looking...no needing some encourgement. Today is day one again. I know how to do this, just need to get the ball rolling again. I know I can.

It's never too late to get it right - welcome back!

Easier now than before, at least for me, so many who "did atkins" (including me!) in the early 2000's were just eating meat with the occasional side of green beans or salad. I could not live that way - this time, I was able to lose what I needed too to alleviate pain but also actually read the books and learn(ing) the science. With encouragement from this board, I didnít linger in induction the whole time, I followed the guidelines of OWL and learned(make that am learning!) what my body does well with and what it does not. Itís a lifelong process but itís also a way of life I can easily follow, the rest of my life. You can, too!
