Default My gym habit

Thought I'd start up one of these gym logs to track my progress in the gym and to supplement the journal.

Last week I managed 5 days in the gym! That's pretty good, I think.

The schedule was like this:
Monday - 15 min cardio followed by upper body work out using free weights
Tuesday - 15 min cardio followed by legs/lower body work out using free weights
Wednesday - 45 minutes cardio. 25 mins elliptical, 20 mins threadmill
Thursday - 15 min cardio followed by upper body work out using machines
Friday - 15 min cardio followed by legs/lower body work out using machines

No gym today. So it'll be a 2 day gym week only as I'm away at a seminar on Friday and Saturday. So I'll probably do an upperbody and a legs/lowerbody workout and maybe yoga on Sunday.

I made it to the gym today. It was a really unenthusiastic workout as I didn't really feel like doing anything. But I did it anyway . . . went through the motions.

12 minutes on elliptical trainer then an upper bod workout which consisted of:
lat pulldowns - 25kg
one arm rows - 30kg
pec dec flies - 20kg
bench press - 20kg
tricep dips - 30kg
abs (on machine) 30kg (2 sets)

Tomorrow, legs. Hopefully, I will have a bit more energy.

Legs day today and did quite well too! I was rudely awakened by the dustmen this morning at 4:30am (note to self, earplugs on Monday nights) so went to the gym earlier than usual.

15 minutes on elliptial trainer (my fav cardio machine)

Leg press - 125kg (that's 2x my body weight)
lying leg curl - 20kg
hip abductor - 40kg
hip adductor - 40kg
back extension - 40 kg
abs (machine) - 30kg

lots of stretching in between butI reckon my hamstrings will be tight tomorrow anyway . . . oh well, as long as I can walk!

Not been updating this but I have been going to the gym. Didn't got today but I did go yesterday and did an upperbody workout.

I'll try to go more days next week.

Not been near the gym this week. Well . . . technically I have been near, I passed right in front of it last night on the way to a restaurant

I'll go next week. This week I'm too busy entertaining guests.

The gym's been on hold this week. Too many late nights (up til 3 most nights) and with having to look after my mate's cats etc. I've just not gone to the gym.

Hope to get back on track next week!
