Default a cooking question...St. Patrick's Day

has always meant corned beef and cabbage.
If I cook it the traditional way with onions and carrots (I'm not going to bother with potatos since I doubt they add much flavor).........do I have to account for any carbs in the onions and carrots if I don't eat any of either? Seems a waste but I actually like the corned beef and the cabbage best anyways.
Any advice appreciated.

So we can have corned beef right? I 'm going out tonight so I don't know how they are preparing it..I'm sure it's boiled though..If they add like a lot of seasonings does that matter?
