Default Very important NHE question!!! Please help ASAP

I need to know when to do my carb-up. Is it best to do before my most intense cardio days or my most intense lifting days? On Saturday I train Muay Thai until I want to puke, but Sunday is my hardest lifting day. Should I carb-up Friday or Saturday? Thanks

Thought I'd just reply to your post on my old thread here, since you don't have a journal. Have you read NHE? The standard plan is to do the carb-ups on a 3/4 schedule, For example, Tues and Sat. It doesn't really matter in regards to your workouts, as long as you don't work out in the middle of your carb up (i.e. between 2 carb-up meals if you split your carb-up). I never felt much different the day after the carb-up except a little hungrier in the morning from the blood-sugar rebound.
Have you checked out the extique website? Some good info in the "Ask Rob" section, although he makes it brutally apparent how much of an arrogant a$$ he is.

Thanks I just bought the book via Amazon and got it today. Haven't read it yet. I will start it tonight and hopefully get a grasp on the info. I appreciate your help.

NEW QUESTION!

New question!
I always drink alcohol at least once a week (on weekends). Would it be better to do this as part of a carb up or on a low carb day? I could think of a reason for both. If I drink on a low carb day, I'd get kicked out of ketosis and thus ruis probably mess up the rest of my low carb days until the next carb up. However, if I drink after eating carbs maybe the alcohol will be stored as fat. Any idea? Thanks
