Default Thyroid (medicated) - tough it out or see doc?

Hey everyone. I have been on thyroid medication for 3.5 years. I have had several increases and am now on Synthroid, 75mcg.

I restarted LC (20g/day) about a week ago. I had two really tired days, but I figured those were induction flu. Then I had two days in a row where I was energetic, so I thought I was over the hump.

But now the past two days, I'm sleeping and sleeping. I also have a bad short-term memory (always a thyroid symptom for me) and weak legs (also a symptom).

I know LCing can cause thyroid downregulation in the beginning but that this eventually passes. I haven't paid attention to things in that context so I don't recall how I react. Should I tough it out and wait to feel better? Or is this a bad sign and should I see my doctor now? (It's no problem to go see my doc, I just don't want to have tests now if things are fluctuating because of induction or something.)

Thanks for any help.

Raise your carbs a little and lower them more gradually. If you still have symptoms on higher carbs, then you might need more meds.

I've make a lot of reverse T3. I'm trying an experiment of using alternate days over higher-carb and cals with days of low cal/carb to see if I can get my body to stop being so stingy with weight loss.

I also take Armour thyroid, so I do get some T3 from that.

I had to cut my carbs slowly. Substitute low carb wraps and pasta in place of place of breads, potatoes, rice, and regular pasta.and replace carrots, peas, and corn with lower carb vegetables. Slowly get rid of the low carb bread substitutes adding more proteins and salads.
It took me 3 weeks before I could do an induction phase, but I had started losing a little during the "replacement phase" I call it.

Thanks so much to both of you. I'll try going up a tad (carbs) and will watch my symptoms.
