Default slim fast and PCOS

it says on the tin, that one serving has 34.3 grams of carbs, 29.8 of which are sugars. having pcos would i be correct in thinking i should avoid this like the plague??

YES!

There are low carb slim fasts I believe if you want a shake. I am not sure how many carbs they have. There are also Atkins shakes and I know that there are also many powdered low carb shake mixes.

but if the one i have is this high in carbs, would i be better to not have it??

Yes. Definitely avoid ANYTHING that high in sugar.
You would be far better off eating "regular food." Have a look through our recipe forums for ideas on quick and easy snacks.

iv been on it, i only lasted for 2 and a half days, i felt so weak, i had the shakes a little bit, my head hurt from the hunger, i dont think its healthy at all

Stay away from slim fast! Their low-carb one tastes SO nasty. Atkins makes a shake that's a lot better. The only flavor I can put up with is the strawberry, but it works for early mornings where I need to wake up my metabolism and don't want to eat breakfast. =)

yeah i didnt go through with the slim fast thing in the end

although my doctor has reduced my dose of metformin my weight has come to a stand still
