Default Horrible ovulation pain? Pain meds?

Does anyone else here experience HORRIBLE ovulation pain? I mean, the kind that doubles you over? Hurts to walk? It's not that way every cycle, but more cycles than not. If I'm home I curl up in the bed and just try not to move. If I'm at work I try to go on break and hope it passes quickly, if not, grit my teeth and just move slowly. I had some Vicodin left over from a surgery that I was taking for it when it was very painful and it took the edge off it (but never completely takes the pain away) but I'm about out of it. What can I ask the doctor for?

Yes, my ovulation hurts pretty badly, too. It's called mittlesmertz. I have had it for as long as I can remember, even before I knew what it was. In fact, I had three babies with one "try" by having sex during the pain.

Not as bad as you describe, but it does hurt to walk, hurt to sit down, hurt to move, hurts to feel gas moving by that area in the intestine. And I have to move slowly. But ibuprofen and naproxen take care of it for me. Even Tylenol. Sex (orgasm) makes it better, too, for some reason, or even just an orgasm w/o sex.

My god does it ever! When the pain starts it starts very suddenly and on the really bad months it rapidly feels like a balloon has been blown up inside of me. I guess it's a cyst filling with fluid? Who knows. All I know is that it hurts. A friend of mine who is a nurse said if I start back on bc pills that the pain shouldn't be as bad.
