Hey can I join this group? I need to lose 30 lbs by November 12. I'd settle for 20, though. We're having a weight loss contest at work and the winner gets $1200!! So far I've lost 17lbs since the end of July. I've been working out like mad and the pounds seem to be melting away. I'm waiting for the plateau to hit and when it does I'm probably going to have to throw the scale out the bathroom window in a fit of rage!

I tried doing the "Cheat Free Days" and "I've Lost..." and it didn't work for me either!

Default any 3rd shifters out there?

Hey everyone, keep up the good work. You guys are doing great.
Does anyone else work third shift? I'm not really sure when I should be eating and when the best time to exercise would be. Right now I have been running a few miles when I get home from work, around 7:30am, then sometimes I have a snack before I go to bed. I usually wake up around 6:30pm, do my ab roller for a while and then take a shower, have a small meal and go to work for 9:00pm. I have a laborer type job, so that helps I guess for keeping in shape, but when it gets slow, I always want to snack.

Skeeweeaka, can you help me figure how to get the signs you have? "I have lost..." and "Cheat free..." I really want to and need to do that!

Hey there, Kyla. You can right-click on the image and click on properties. This will show you the url address for almost any image. From there you can post it in your signature with the VB code for image display, by putting [.img] before and [./img] after the url.

[.img]http://home.new.rr.com/kitanniweb/atkins/5.gif[./img]

(Now I had to add dots in there so you could read the VB code. Just be sure to remove the dots or periods before the img in each bracketed command. I had to do this to show you the text to insert.)

If you want to learn more about VB code, just click on the VB code link in the forum rules box below. Keep looking, you'll find it.

And when you want to change the number of days, change the number 5 to 6, 7, etc. I think you get the picture here now.

Just add [] on the IMG tags before.

I had to run around all morning for this company picnic I'm planning (took a boat ride over to Angel Island which is in the middle of the SF Bay - truly beautiful!) but when I got back to the office I was too tired to work out so now I'm feeling totally guilty! Does anyone else ever feel guilty for not working out or is it just me being a Type A personality again??

I feel guilty EVERY day I don't exercise. Fortunatelly this week has been really heavy on regattas so I've had my share of bruises and sore muscles.

i am really sad! Like I said before, i am diabetic. well, anyway my blood sugar went down to 50 and i ate chicken veggies and pork rinds. it was refusing to go up!!!! So i finally could not take it any more and had a king size Snickers! i am feeling better but I am really frudsyterated.
I committed to excerising when i joined this group. So this morning I walked for 30 minutes. i am proud of myself. But I think tomorrow I better take less insulin.

Hey guys,
I am going to start my fat fast tomorrow to kick start my weight loss and also my exercise routine. This is great to have some support I really need to lose 20 pounds by Nov. 1st but I'll take what I can by October.

I made a bet w/my hubby that I could be at my goal weight and for our anniversary he has to take me to Cancun. So I'm real motivated.

Thanks Guys,
