This sounds brilliant - I was just whining about not having cocktail sauce with shrimp the other night

I have a couple dressings, the caramel sauce and raspberry preserve. They have their moments.

Love the pancake syrup and I've used the preserves...not often...but it's nice once in awhile...although I've never liked the texture. I was mentioning this to a friend who asked why I didn't just run the whole jar through my bullet and then put it back in the jar once it had been bulletified....STELLAR!!!! Spreads like normal jam now. Go figure. Just thought I'd share.

Not too crazy about any of Walden Farms products. I tried a lot of them.
(I also threw out the Alfredo Sauce. lol!) I've come to realize that I like fat and can eat it as long as I stay away from carbs. I make most of my own food from scratch. So I don't make anything with sugar in it anyhow.

I like the chocolate peanut spread, BBQ sauces, balsamic vinegar, and fruit spreads.

I have never had a problem with the Grape or Strawberry "jelly", nor with the Marshmallow or chocolate sauce, but STAY AWAY from the seafood sauce...it is red so I thought it was going to be like cocktail sauce...it tastes NOTHING like that !!!

It was pretty horrid.

for jellies, i think the 4 carb splurge is well worth it to get sf Smucker's instead.
i use the apricot and orange routinely to make chinese orange chicken or baked apricot chicken with goat cheese....

the chocolate, caramel and pb= NO, just NO. not only do they taste foul, they jack up my blood sugar (I'm a type I diabetic- so if something increases BG in me, guess what is happening to YOU? you are probably getting an insulin rise).

the dressings like the asian one and the raspberry one i like sometimes.
i wouldn't touch the creamy ones with a 10 foot pole!
the vinaigrette though are basically water, vinegar, seasonings and stabilizers.
lord knows what's in a cream based one!

i also would use a few carbs to have sf maple syrup by the brand Vermont- it has total carbs per 1/4c.

for catsup, i'm a sf heinz fan- 1g per tbsp. i eat this a LOT on my weekend omelets.

i wouldn't try the alfredos and other products of WF......

so basically i like the occasional vinegar based dressing, but making your own dressing is much healthier and tastes so much better.
