Default 55 and stalled

I may be the queen of the turtle club. Started Atkins three weeks ago and lost six pounds the first week - then, BAM! I have not lost another pound since. I am keeping carbs around 20 a day, no caffine. The worst thing I am doing is the Advantage bars. Oh, and I have started having a few mixed nuts but counting the carbs in those too.
Any ideas anyone?

Apparently the sugar alcohols in the bars stall quite a few people..perhaps you could try off them for two weeks.. see if that helps jiggle you a bit?

The nuts can have a tendency to stall some people too.

You are not stalled. It takes 3500 calories of extra burned energy to lose a pound. Therefor figure that from now on, ON AVERAGE you will lose about 3 lbs a some months there will be a drop, and others there won't, but it all averages out the same...physics is physics. So work on that to figure out how long it will take you to get to goal...and if your goal is 120, and that is realistic, then you should be consuming around 1200 calories a day, (but no less) unless you exercise a lot- then it can be more accordingly. A stall is up to 8 weeks with no change in measurements. Throw away the scales, they are too inaccurate and will just become a miserable obsession. I am 63, and after dropping about 30 lbs in 6 months on a low GI diet, I then stalled for many months. I began Atkins in early July and am down a further 5 lbs, but more important, an INCH in that's fat that is moving, not weight. Fat doesn't weight much. Now note: I have lost 41 pounds in 12-13 mo, and guess what. That's 3 pounds per month on average. I do aerobic exercise 4 times a week and consume about 1400 cal's a day.

The advantage this WOE has is that you should be feeling more energetic, have fewer aches and pains, not be constantly hungry, and more healthy over time. Your average weightloss, over say a year ot two years will not be any different than other diets, but it is a lot better in all those other respects, and for many a lot easier to stay on forever so that you don't gain the weight back again.
