After I got home to write it in my journal I was astounded and amazed at how many carbs oysters have I probably would have done better to have the salad and 2 glasses of champagne Anyway--why are oysters so much higher in carbs than clams and mussels--By the way--LOVE YOUR COOKBOOK! My friends laugh at me and say that I'm the only single person they know who cooks dinner almost every night at home.

PS--I posted this onan other thread not realizing I should start a new one. What will I do???? I love oysters prepared in any way!!!!

Hi Lisa, I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying the book!

AFAIK, the carbs in bivalves come from their stomach contents, so clams, mussels, and oysters contain carbohydrates.
