Default Apeel--- increase storage time of foods

A friend mentioned this on Sunday. I was taken aback at the stupidity of this and thought she was mistaken. Well, she was RIGHT.

A new product will be sprayed on many food items to extend the shelf life. But is it a good thing health wise??

Here is one health coach's opinion......

What do you think??
Will the labeling be large enough to read?

Will organic products get sprayed?

To decrease food waste.....maybe there is a better way. I know when I grow food I dont waste it. The excess food I pick up from a food pantry is used, not wasted. None goes into the trash. None. Even if the compost benefits, which feeds my growing beds. Much goes to the chickens and dog.

Maybe we need to rethink our food, see the impact of current system......

PBS looks at food waste. Starting with in the field......and why much doesn't go to market.

What can you change as a consumer??
