I found these to die for cookies. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of splenda but I find that a little to sweet. Next time I will try 1/4 cup. Also you can add a few drops of your favourite extract with no additional carbs MMMMMMMMMMMMM

1 egg white
1/8 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup Splenda
1 cup ground pecans

Preheat oven to 375F.
Beat egg whites and tartar until stiff. Gently fold in Splenda then pecans.
Drop by the teaspoon onto greased parchment paper and bake for 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 24 cookies.

1/2 C Splenda recipe = fat 3gm, fiber 0, calories 39, carbohydrates 3.

1/4 C Splenda recipe= fat 2gm, fiber 0, calories 27, carbohydrates 2.

Default curious.....

Is it just "1 egg white"? I've never made macaroons but that seems like it might be a typo???

Shelley, if you mix a combination of sweeteners - I use Sugar Twin and Splenda together - you can use much less of both and get a sweeter taste.

Default THANKS SHELLEY!!!

I came over here looking for cookies!! I've been thinking about cookies for a couple days----- LOVE my GOODIES!!!

I am going to try these. They sound yummy!!
Question... About how many does the recipe make???
I'm afraid I'll finish them all (I'n a pig when it comes to sweets) so I want to know the total damage up front and see if its worth it!!

Ellie What I meant to ask is.... how many carbs total is that per cookie??? Is it only 2 or 3?? I see now you do have on there that it makes 24.

Default hi Ellie

that would be 3 for each cookie. 2 if you use 1/4 cup of splenda.

Default Just made 'em...

Oh my, I love 'em...

I had the ingredients in the house...except for the pecans, I made them with almonds. So there were less than 24, more like 10. Love 'em, and recommend 'em.
