I don't understand. Where did you type that, and what were you trying to do? A Search, perhaps?

Oh! I see!

If you type a "colon" and a "p" it's code for the smiley! To avoid that, just be sure you put spaces before and after the : and the p.

If you click on More at the bottom of the list of smilies that shows when you are typing a post or reply, you will get many more smiley icons you can use, and to the right of each one is the keyboard code used to create it.

Talking I'm baaaaaaaaccccccckkkkkkk!

I'm going to start '72 Induction again tomorrow. I've been overindulging in foods I have no business eating ... like pizza.

Hello, Karen! Are you following the original Atkins plan? This thread is a Buddies Group for those who follow that version of Atkins. It is the book Dr. Atkins wrote back in 1972. It's very different from the newer versions ... quite a bit more limited.

If you think you might be interested in following this plan, please read the first post on the first page. The food lists and Rules for the plan are posted there. We'd be pleased to have you join us here!

I am starting induction again tomorrow morning. I will shop today and make sure I am prepared. Wish me luck. I just keep backsliding further and further.

This thread will continue until the mods ask us to start a new one, which will be at the 2000th post, I believe. Then we'll start Atkins '72 thread #3.

It looks like I'll be able to really get down to business soon. I found 2 1/2 avocados in my fridge, but I'm not sure they're all good anymore. If they are, I'll eat them, and then get started on '72. If they aren't any good, I'll start '72 right away!

Hi everyone!

Been sticking with it, but I bounced up a little. Was down to 166.6, am 170.something today... stupid water weight I'm just hoping when the water goes, it takes a few friends with it! It would be so neat to see the 150s. Ah well, I'll get there when I get there.

Who's still around?

Hey - I'm following A'72 still. That is, I follow A'72 when I'm not eating hc stuff.

I love it - feel, physically and emotionally, better on A'72.

Hey Kisal - what do old avocados taste like? Is it just that they are very very mushy or do they taste 'off'?

They are very soft and they definitely have a weird taste. In addition, the flesh is usually brownish, instead of the pretty green and yellow flesh of a good avocado. I'll know as soon as I cut them open. If they're brownish, they'll go straight into the garbage!
