Sounds like you're doing really well, Rose. Just dropped by since I recognized you from Charran's journal, if my memory's right. You're doign so many healthy things for your body and mind, it sounds like (all the courses ,etc) - congrats!! Hope the soreness goes away soon. About diet soft drinks, I don't want to be a bad influence bc many here talk about how bad it is, but I found they have been a savior (as is my coffee, regular in day and good quality decaf in the evening if needed) to make meals or snacks more interesting. I don't think that it has impeded my loss, HOWEVER, being about 10 pounds away from goal - LIKE YOU AND 135, LIKE YOU! - I have been more aware that the salt content may affect the scale so sometimes I have less or have it but with more water.....who knows.

Keep up the good work! Hey, are you part of the 10 pound challenge? (see countdowns and buddies); I find it very motivating. Come and join in if you haven't already.

Okay, so I believe I am back on track with food today. I don't have as much of a hankering for my damn pb sandwhich Food has been good today and no soda for the past couple of days. Since my enter key on my laptop still doesnt work my meals for today are going to be all confusing B: boiled egg, supplements. L: shrimp, Tuna, nuts, 1/2 apple S: SF Jell-o, salad with boiled egg, bacon, light oo. D: Tuna, 2 scrambled egg omlette with tomatoes and bacon. little of anything for veggies today, i know. Not much left and trying to ration out what I have until we get paid. Almost done with my essay for St. John's College and am 3/4 of the way through with the assigned reading for their seminars. We were assigned to read Plato's Meno and Aristotle's On the Soul. Wonderful books. There are never answers to many questions, but leads to more questions.

::dusting off the cobwebs of this thread::

Has not been used for awhile but I think it is imperative that I do use it now since 140 is within my reach. I have been having yogurt for the past week or so now every morning for breakfast with walnuts.

I have given up weighing as frequently which has boosted my self confidence as of late. I have also given up bread. It's been one week now since I have had a piece and about 4 days since my last diet soda. I don't tend to think that diet soda's are all that bad for you but the quantity in which I drink them, they are not to my benefit. Along with all that I have given up, I am cutting my portions down dramatically. I do feel hungry more often, but never overfull or bloated.

Last night I had dinner with my sweeties parents and they had lots of nono food Did my best though. Had shrimp mole verde without the rice that is supposed to go with it. I did have black beans but no more than 2 tbsp's and then had some baked veggies. It did include corn but again, no more than 2tbsp of that as well. I did drink lots and lots of water which helped created that 'full' feeling. I even passed up dessert and told my sweeties mom not to cut me a slice of her pear cake because if she put a plate in from of my face, I was likely to take it and eat it all I did also have some decaff coffee with powdered creamer and 1 splenda.

I have been watching the amount of protein that I consume as well and actually have been cutting it down because I could easily go through 2 or more cans of tuna a day, plus countless amounts of ground turkey. There are times when I just don't feel satisfied with the smaller amounts of food, but I have reminded myself that I am used to large portions out of habit. I also read an article that stated that if we use smaller dishware to eat with, we are more likely to have smaller portions. Which kind of makes sense if you think about it. They also said that people who used a large bowl for ice cream had 57% more ice cream than they needed...

I think I'm done rambling for now. Sorry to bore all my readers

B: LC yogurt w/ walnuts, quiche (no crust. made it myself)
S: 1/2 granny smith apple
L: Salad, tuna, 1 oz cheese, pickles, bit of mayo and oo.
S: 1/2 granny smith apple
D: Ground Turkey approx 4 oz, fresh snow peas.
