That was the general idea of what happened to me when I had to leave work. I agree, it's awful! Totally embarrassing!
I just hope it's all behind me now.

I can't tolerate the regular, but have no issues with the xr.
What's your dosage? what's the size of your pill? Hopefully you were given the 500mg. (If you are going to ask for the xr, ask for the 500mg. The 500 mg size is available on Walmart and other pharmacy's $4 plans). My dose is 1000mg at morning and bedtime. That's how he wrote it, and the pharmacy tried to give me 1000mg tablets (at a much higher price). I asked for the 500mg, and they had to call my doctor to get permission for that. How silly is that?
As muffles mentioned above, you may need to slowly work up to your recommended dose, even with the xr, to avoid the tummy troubles. (Getting the 500mg tablets will make that easier, too.



Does anyone know if CVS does this $4 for metformin xr 500mg? I am assuming it is at the discounted price whether or not you have insurance?
