Final workout day of week two! Another success, I did all my scheduled workouts, and worked my plan and challenged myself with heavier weights!

I had a case of the "I don't really feel like working out" this morning, but I did it anyway! I'm glad I did.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend! See ya next week for the start of week three!

Week 3

Fri~ 5/20/2009
Workout: Hardcore Fusion (express version)
Workout time: 40 mins
Calories Burned: 249

The end of week three! It was a tough week and a very challenging one for me. I only skipped one workout to take an extra rest day, so instead of my planned 6 days I only did 5. Thursday (5/21/09) was the first time I ever did the Get Chiseled workout and they named that one honestly! I did exercises I've never seen or heard of before and felt muscles I didn't know I had! My hips and thighs were screaming! Whew! I did reward myself with a nice hot Epsom salt bath that evening.

I woke up this morning feeling that workout and an evil voice tried to talk me out of working out, "your so sore, just take another rest day it's not big deal." I said "no, I will do my workout, but I will do the express version," the original version is 1 hour, and I worked a little light on the weights too. That express option is so nice when you are pressed for time or not feeling up to a full workout. I'm happy to say I didn't listen to the evil angel that decided I should give up. I hope everyone had a great week and enjoys the weekend!

Each week I'm progressing, and scheduling a variety of workout tapes to "shock" my muscles so they don't get too established to the same routine all the time. That is one neat thing about The Firm workouts. They actually design them in this fashion so that each workout focuses on a different muscle group, and includes variations of fast and slow twitch exercises to keep the shock factor in play! Lots of plyometrics, which I love, it really targets cellulite and is very healthy for the lymphatic system.

I'm so delighted to see some muscle definition in my arms popping thru! my shoulders are getting sculpted nicely, and even my legs are toning up which is my trouble spot, I'm a pear so I struggle with the extra padding, but I am happy to say the inches are melting off and the padding isn't so thick anymore! I did take pictures front, side and rear before I started working out so I could track my progress. I'll probably be posting these here around week 6 I'll put up the before and midways.

Well my friends, I'll see ya on week four!

Week 4

Thurs~ 5/28/2009
Well, my workout is not going according to plan this week! ugh! Unfortunately I have only been able to get in one day this week. I'm going to try very hard to work in a workout tonight. It has been an eventful week (no excuses, yeah, I know) but this is a reality! My darling husband broke his ring finger, and sprained both wrists, so I've been waiting on him for the past 4 days, it's just been hectic. I've been doing my responsibilities, plus his, which even though he's a man, he helps out tremendously! Dumping the trash yuk! Taking the trash to the street, which I forgot to do because of the holiday schedule! Oops! Cooking (he takes up a lot of the slack in the kitchen and cooks & cleans up a few days a week, so that won't be happening) I almost forgot how nice it was to have a contributing hubby, now I appreciate him even more, which is probably why this whole silly thing happened in the first place, it's easy to take things for granted. No more of that! Well enough of that, could be worse, thankfully the machine he was using didn't totally rip his finger off! Very blessed.

The good news is I have still been eating according to plan! So all is not lost! Well wait! I have lost some fat!

After being inspired by Denise lcgrrl2006, I thought it would be good for me to address total carbs and mood
mood: overwhelmed a bit, but still remaining positive
Total Carbs: for yesterday (5/27/08) 13 grams.

Well off to the grocery store, I'm in the mood for hot wings and celery! mmm. I make one killer chicken wing!

Week 4

Fri~ 5/29/2009
Workout: Firm Volume 1
Workout time: 1 hr
Calories Burned: 438

Whew! It's been a while since I did this workout! This is the first tape The Firm ever produced. I can remember when I first started using The Firm workouts back in 1989 I did it off and on no regularity or anything, just when I felt like it, which wasn't often back then. In 1992 I got serious and decided I wanted a fitness lifestyle so I started doing this tape along with volume 2 rotating them between workout days. I had such lean sexy legs and now I know why! OMG! I couldn't even get thru all the reps! I used to fly thru that thing!!! I'm definitely going to do this regularly in my rotation.

Mood: good! My spirits are up, but now my legs hurt!
Carbs: 6g
Ketosis: small
