Hello eveyone - I'm Ange and I'm in not so sunny Cornwall. Anyone else from Cornwall here?

I'm off to Bali for 2 months on Sunday tho and am desperate to keep up my low carb plan but I don't know how easy that will be due to having no control on how my food is cooked - eeek!

happy l.carbing

Hi
I'm from North Devon. Low Carbing since Oct 03, on maintenance since May 04. Don't really know anyone else round here that is 'seriously' low carbing. This is for life, not just for after Christmas

Hi all

I live in Gloucester. I did the Atkins diet before christmas and lost half a stone in a week, i was well chuffed!! anyway, that all soon went back on over the festive season due to too much booze ans roast potatoes!
Well, i'm starting the Atkins again on Monday, i hope i can stick with it this time.
Does anyone else have any problems with measuring the salad and veg in cups? I prefer to weigh my food as i don't feel i'm getting acurate amounts. Any ideas on how to deal with that as i don't want to go over my 20g of carbs by not measuring properly.

Great to see other Brits for support.

Sarah

Hi Carl - I grew up in the Kingswood/Hanham area. Have a friend over there who lived in Brentry - Okebourne Road, next to the pub!!

Hi Tanglewood - Been to Cornwall - did some hiking on the South Coast Path a few years ago - lovely coastline!!

Good meet all Brits on both sides of the 'Pond'. Happy low carbing.

I agree it is great to see so many new Brit members posting here

As for the 'cup' thing, here is a link to the USDA database
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
which lists most foods with its nutrients but also shows how much one cup of each weighs in grams.

Hi all Brits! How's everyone's weight loss going this week, so far.
I'm off to a good start - let's all keep in touch, although I know we all have busy lives.
Another couple of inches of snow this a.m., after we lost it all last week. Ah well, it is still January!

Hi everyone - there seems to be a distinct lack of northerners on here! Nice to meet you all - hope you're all doing well!

Sounds good Munchy - will look into that. You're doing really well!

I was wondering what people have found to help them stay on the straight and narrow? There's a pizza recipe on here thats fab and has really helped me - its so easy and quick to make but feels like I've had a treat.
