I ALWAYS tell people about the calorie thing. 10-12x your current weight and the general percentages rule (80-65%fat depending on what diet they're on of course). I hate when other people give bad advice, but make it sound like they know what they're talking about.
I go through similar things on forums.

In between actual food meals I like to eat something quick and simple such as 2tbsp of coconut oil which is about 200 calories. Or a bowl of greens with 2tbsp of butter. People in real life look at me like I'm annorexic. People on (some) forums would say I should eat REAL food (as if oil was fake LOL)
It's one thing to say what works for you, but don't make it sound like it will work for everyone else. Maybe people just suck at typing. I don't know.

Why do people think it's all about quanity of food?

If I ate 200calories from my 2 spoons of oil.
Added a chicken breast on top of it.. Easily a 400 calorie meal; which is way too many calories for me.

On CKD I've been doing it the way the guys do it. It's not working too well for me. I didn't feel right about doing it how I was doing it, but was following the advice of the mods and people with high post counts lol. (ALL 200LB MUSCULAR GUYS I SWEAR) Been doing some more reseach and decided to tweak it and do what feels right. I can tell when I'm getting weaker and need to eat the carbs I'm supposed to eat in order to progress at lifting and I'm going by that. I did gain 5lbs, could either be muscle or fat from the stupid carb ups.

Raising my calories has helped me, but that's because my calories were extremely low before, which I try to make clear to people who ask. Yes, I increased my calories from what they were, but I'm still probably eating the same amount as people who LOWERED their intake.

But I really do think some people who come here and have problems aren't eating enough. When I see a post from someone who's 300 pounds and eating maybe 1,000 calories a day, that's just not enough. And if they're not losing or they're feeling fatigued, I do tell them what worked for me and suggest they try increasing their calories "a bit." But do I say go eat 3,000 calories a day? No.

It's funny, but I never count calories, if I did, I would probably have a fit!! All of the fat you have to eat in this WOL surely has to be lots!! I found out if I try to not eat, or let myself get hungry it only makes me cranky, and not loose any more or any less, so I choose not to be hungry!!
