My small victory was that I almost gave into tempations of having 1/2 bagel with cream cheese.
I pass a tray of assorted bagels daily (including a low carb made one) and always take a second look. As my will has helped me walk away - I know it would cost me a huge amount of carbs and put me out of commission for a few days to come.

I finally hit onederland!!!! I'm sicker than a dog with some kind of intestinal virus (had to cancel my second trip to Wisconsin), but my batteries for the scale arrived yesterday (and I had a doctor's appointment. I'm barely in onederland, but I'm there!!
Right now, a big victory for me is to get some form of exercise everyday. Between lack of sleep and morning sickness, it's become a big effort to do something even if it's just for 20 minutes. So far today I haven't done anything, but I did eat a great breakfast - crustless bacon and spinach quiche. Yum!
YEA BLUIIZ You did it! I've been waiting for you to tell that news ya know...lol! I am SO proud of you, you've come a long way!
I hope you feel better soon Get lots of rest and get well, keep us posted on how you're doing

Congrats BluiizCA...I just took a quick look at your journal. You'd hoped to hit below 200 by the time you graduated in 2007. And here we are in the FALL of 2006 and you've done it! Woo hoo!
My small victory is calling the "dinner train" my sister has me booked on where they serve nothing but bread and potatoes and sugary dressing on the salad and sugary desserts (even their diabetic fruit plate is appauling!). I called them to arrange a SLIGHTY more low-carb-friendly meal for me and my diabetic Dad and will just eat a whole bunch of eggs and stuff before I go so I won't be tempted as much with the tons of carbs that will be sitting in front of my face for 3 1/2 hours straight.
Dad will eat tons of bread because he doesn't control his diabetes. He eats tons of starches and thinks that's healthy and that he can eat all that as long as he injects himself with the tons of insulin he's now on.
i had to move my wedding rings to my middle finger.. and they are still loose they feel funny there though.. i think i will just put them on a necklace until i am ready to have them resized
Ohhh...the ring resizing is a huge deal. That's something I've really noticed lately. My wedding band just keeps spinning. The engagement ring is a little thicker/tighter so it will hold it for awhile. I don't know how much looser it will get since I don't have large fingers to begin with, but it's still exciting. Congrats to you both!!
holy cow Amory!! good job! You too Newbirth! yes its a GREAT feeling
i am just going to wait until i am done.. or close to done losing.. i think LOL i feel naked without them on my hand now even though they are on my neck LOL (this from the person that never wore jewelry until she got married?)
