Default Whole 30 - November

Following the success of the Whole 30 Challenge in July, I was wondering if anyone wants to join me for another challenge in November?

I will be starting next Tuesday and it'd be great to share the challenge with others.

For those of you who don't know about Whole 30, it's a 30 day challenge to stick to strict Paleo foods. No processed foods, grains, sugar, alcohol, legumes, dairy, no white potatoes and no weighing yourself on the scales!

Here's a link to The Whole 30 Version 5.0

Sure, count me in! Yet again, however I have 1 planned day off (for my work leaving party - hurray!). I may shift these final 5lbs by December.

OK, I'm game again. I've recently switched to a raw paleo and am seeing good results already. I did just discover the yumminess of pastured butter, but I'm sure I will have eaten it all up long before the start.

Thanks! Well, better in that it's less pay but lots less stress

Are we all weighing and measuring on the 31st, or are some starting early?

I will for real this time! I started a Whole 30 for September, but the quitting smoking took priority over the change in eating, so I did that instead. Now I need to get back to business, eat clean for a while and figure out what is going to work for me now. My big challenge will be sugar--ugh!

I'll make mine official the first, measurements and all. I woke up to seeing 138 on the scale this a.m., so I'm hoping for a little more progress as I'm getting close to my goal weight. Besides, I have a pound of butter to do away with

I've been reading the July forum and the Whole30 website for the last two hours, and have decided to join you all. I was going to start Atkins today and
have followed induction plan so far today, but I might just count it as day one of this challenge. I've been trying to cut out processed stuff for the last few months with some success. I've given up eating at fast food places completely. The only thing I've had today that was a no no was the regular butter. I'm curious to try it clarified butter. Have you tried it?

Thanks for starting this. I'm excited to get started.

I was happy to read that clarified butter is now allowed. I have made a lot of changes since January: given up grains almost completely, stopped drinking beer because of that (with mixed feelings), stopped having candy, chips or desserts, and then the smoking. A girl needs to have something left! What good is health if there are no little sensory pleasures?!

I'd love to join you. I just started Paleo with my family. Only thing is I get weighed every 2 weeks at my doctor's office, but other than that I can stick to it.

Welcome everyone!! It's great to see so many people, familiar and new

mfish, I'd be interested to know what a typical day's menu for you looks like.

Briah, welcome! You have made the right choice I haven't used clarified butter but I do use coconut oil. Which reminds me, I need to order some more, stat!

Silvermoon, welcome! Is this your first time doing Paleo? I wouldn't worry about needing to get weighed. I think many people let that little rule slide, but if you want to be strict you could ask your doctor to not tell you what the scales say!

I took my measurements and weight today as a starting point - besides improvement there, I'm also hoping to build strength and reduce my many and varied tummy woes this month. By December I am going to poop like a champion!

Start
weight 175.2 lbs
neck 13"
boobs 38.5"
ribcage 35.5"
waist 34.5"
hips 39.5"
thigh 21"
bicep 12"

Today the scale says 145.8lbs. It's a bit cold here to be putting a plastic tape measure against naked skin so I'll leave that for now thanks
