Default Fudge Pops

Ok, so I got home from the grocery store and realized I grabbed "No Sugar Added" Fudge pops instead of "Sugar Free" fudge pops. I don't think this is the same thing, so, am I allowed to eat these?

Yes, you can have either one....up to 100 cals a day so you can have 2 of the 40 cals ones!

I've nuked them off the sticks and into a mug for about 10 seconds and then put a squirt on whipped cream on top.

Funny you say this. Last night, I thought about taking them off the sticks and mashing them up in a mug with a bit of skim milk. I imagine it would taste much like a Wendy's frosty, which I enjoy. I'm glad the "no sugar added" ones are fine, too. I prefer these - they are more rich and chocolatey.

I had never thought of doing this before. I tried it for the first time last night and OMG! I felt so guilty eating it because it tastes like delicious creamy chocolate ice cream. What a treat!

Agreed. It tastes so much more chocolaty when they're off the sticks. Something to do with the temperature, I think. I lick the bowl when I do it this way. My husband stares. I don't care.

Just tried these today. Was using the sugar free and found these taste much more like chocolate.

Oh god, I know. When I'm eating mine, you'd think I was....um, in ecstasy...I sit on the couch and moan and groan...the hubby looks at me like I'm a whack job...and then I proceed to suck on the stick until all of the chocolate taste is out of it. LMAO. I am a chocolate addict, and yesterday started my TOM...so these are a LIFE SAVER.

Is there a particular brand than you buy? Cant recall what mine is right now but wondered what everyone else was using. And cant find the LeCarb label anywhere here in the Fayetteville, NC area. Carb Smart is everywhere but nothing from LeCarb.

Ok - so here's another question for all the vets here. I've been seeing a lot of sugar free chocolates. I think particularly from Dove and Godiva. They are NOT hard candies and hard candies are specified. But, the book also says we can enjoy the "occasional" piece of dark chocolate on Phase 2. So I guess the question is really 2-fold. (1) Would these sugar free chocolates be the lesser of two evils? and (2) What, exactly, does "occasionally" mean? 1 Small square a day? 1, 2, 3 times per week? What has everyone else done?

When you are nearing 150 lbs, then you can begin to indulge in some real dk chocolate, 85% to be exact. Until then, I'd avoid those made with sugar alcohols.

I eat it now that I'm maintaining, about 100-125 cals at night as my dessert. I love Vivani ....Green & Black is OK...Lindt is OK.

I've had the 85% dark chocolate by Lindt before. It's quite bitter.
There's a couple of different SF chocolates out there these days. Russell Stover and Hersey's make a variety of SF chocolates that I buy for my DH. However, they have a lot of sugar alcohols in them which can cause digestinal distress. And I'm not sure they are allowed on Phase 1 of SB. Personally, I would stay away from them for now.
