I havent tried the cheescake mix, I usualy jsut make my own since there are so many great LC cheesecake recipes. But I have tried the potato mashers (LC mashed potatoes) and those I like. I Just ordered some of thier dessert muffin mixes, thier corn muffin mix and some of thier oven stuffing mix and it should arrive Monday, then I can try those and give input on those as well.

I decided to try them since I have heard good stuff about thier products

Somebody please tell me what is "non-wheat cereal fiber" before I order something from their line. It sounds good, but I really want to know what that is!

What do they charge for shipping? Is it better than netrition.com? I want to place an order somewhere, because you just can't find a variety of low-carb products in regular stores anymore. It's frustrating.

Another Dixie Diner product to try is their Ready to Eat Cookies. I like the Cinna-Apple Spice variety. Very tasty and only 2 net carbs per cookie !

The quiche is fantastic. Pretty pricey, though, IMO. I had the bacon cheddar.

I love their "mashers" instant potatoes as well as their muffins.

Their Angel food puffs http://www.dixiediner.com/product_i...products_id=122
contain zero fat, zero protein and zero carbs yet they give 10 calories. Anybody knows how?

It says "2 carbs and 2 fiber"--when the calories don't make sense it usually means they deducted the fiber up front (and then deduct it again when they show "net") so it's really 4 carbs and 2 fiber--net of 2 instead of zero. I've seen that done before. I don't think it should be allowed but apparently it is. My rule of thumb: Be wary of anything that says zero net carbs because very few things are.

I nearly cracked a tooth on that Smaps cereal. YUCK.
But I do enjoy some of the deserts.

Angel,

I put some almond milk on them and heated them for 40 seconds in the microwave to soften them. I liked them much more this way

We had the pancake mix this morning and it was excellent! Used with Vermont Sugar Free syrup and lots of butter, they tasted just like real pancakes.

Don't bother with the Applesauce Snack Cake....made it yesterday and I should have had a clue when it made my house smell so gross when it was baking!! And the "frosting" is basically just maybe a teaspoon of vanilla flavored powder that you add a block of cream cheese to. I'm so stingy with my cream cheese, and I'm mad that I wasted a whole block on this yukky cake! I also have the Banana one, so I'm hoping that's better. The Applesauce one has 2g nc, and the Banana one has 4. It cost too much to toss, so I froze most of it in individual servings for when I'm desperate!
