Thanks for the tip about the sticky at the top of the research page.. I will check that out. I don't want to fill that up with information about books and blogs etc., though, because most of these will not be new or research.

Kirsteen, I think this is a GREAT idea and you've got a good start to it! I'll be spending my day clicking through these links to make sure I haven't missed anything good. Thanks!
Here's another absolutely excellent video - "The Battle of the Diets - is anyone winning?" : a 2008 presentation by Christopher Gardner - a vegetarian for many years - for the Stanford School of Medicine Medcast lecture series.

I've come across this site before and I must say I really like this guy, Dr. Yoni Freedhoff: Weighty Matters
He was on our morning news this morning tearing apart kids Del Monte fruit twists (?) that look like licorice. He broke everything down to show the average viewer that "No sugar added" label is useless and straight out says that the dieticians at Heart and Stroke have no business putting their mark of approval on it because you should not be feeding diabetics sugar. He also shows that it has more sugar than plain old candy licorice.
Here is a quote I like from his site:
Quote:
Firstly the obvious one, can I have some of what the folks over at the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Health Check are smoking because their world certainly seems much kinder and gentler than mine.
Not everything on his page is strictly LC as we would view it but I do really love his views and how he simply writes what he thinks.
I love this thread! I love to research so it has been great.
Two of my favorite books in the paleo section which I didn't see but I may have missed:It starts with food: Discover Whole 30 by the Hartwigs ( I love the psychological section about food) and the paleo cook book Well Fed: Paleo recipes for people that love to eat ( such a great book about organizing food prep and planning, not to mention great recipes, love her blog!)
I still have my Atkins 72 though and it will always have a fond place for me.

I came across this site a few days ago but didn't get a chance to read much until today. This is one persons experience with diabetes and what he has learned about LC eating. It's a simple, straightforward website with lots of info: Diabetes without Complications!
I've never listened to this neato Jimmy Moore guy before - I LOVE that I can listen while playing with my babies!! Lol a lot of reading time doesn't seem to happen when there are a couple of wee-ones around. Podcast = Cooooooooll. Thank You for all the links!!!
