Chocolate Cake
I was treating my self today to a small skinny Latte and the coffee shop had Flour free Chocolate Cake advertised, any one have any idea how the carb count would be on this? There was none left so I couldnt see what it looked like . Anyway I would be interested in hearing some feedback on this.
I strongly suspect it would be made with sugar and/or chocolate, so still a no-no.
Flour free cakes are suitable for coeliacs, who need gluten free food, but I highly doubt it would be sugar free.
elkay there are recipes for sugar free flour free cakes around. i make one and serve it with low-carb icecream. if you really want a treat, that's the way to go.
mmm......... Could you give me the recipe, Im sure Im not the only one who would be interested.
Have you checked our Sweet Treats subforum, Elkay?
If you look in the sticky thread at the top, "Contents of Sweet Treats," you'll find links to recipes for several sugar free, flour free chocolate cakes there.
ps where could I find details of the Eat Fat Get Thin plan
Eat Fat, Get Thin, by Barry Groves, is essentially very similar to Atkins' OWL. It starts at 60g carbs, and allows more fruit than Atkins, with an occasional slice of bread.
I found my copy of the book in a local bookshop.
There is a website which has a lot of useful info, although it does not spell out the details of the plan the way Atkins.com does.
Here is the website: http://www.second-opinions.co.uk/eatfat.html
