Heh, it's been a while. Jan 28 was the last post. I haven't been exercising this past week, and that feels rough. But I have been moving towards getting back into an old hobby - bicycle riding.
I'm no longer the athletic gear-pounding stud (ha!) that I once was, but I've decided to get back in the saddle again. It's taking a bit of time and money to get the old steed safe to use though.
Furthermore, things have changed since I last rode on the shoulder of a busy street - like texting. I have no problem dying while doing something I love, but getting mowed down by an inattentive driver seems... so pointless and awful. For that reason, I will only be road-biking on dedicated bike paths.
However, there are only a couple of those nearby, and I'm certain to get bored to death riding on them day after day. So yesterday I picked up a mountain bike - and today it's windy and snowing hard LOL. Anyway, the idea is to get some exercise, go some places where you don't normally, and pick up a few new riding skills - like navigating rocks, ruts and roots without falling over.
Hopefully the inevitable crashes lead to bruises and not breaks Updates to follow
