Dr. Atkins may have unknowingly addressed rT3?
Dr. Robert Atkins: The True Story of the Man Behind the War on Carbohydrates by Lisa Rogak.
p. 102
"Nineteen seventy-seven saw the publication of Dr. Atkins Super Energy Diet, which he viewed as a vehicle for introducing his already huge fan base to the idea of a diet that was not just focused on weight loss only but on increasing patients energy levels and improving their overall health."
p. 103-104
Atkins also suggested that dieters who had hit a weight-loss plateau undertake what he called the "Reversal Diet." "Sometimes if you switch to an all carbohydrate diet for one week, then switch back to your [induction] level diet, the weight loss starts up all over again, he wrote."
What do you think?
