Default returning to the best diet ever

hello, I am 65 years old, was on the Dr atkins diet in the 1970s with complete sucess( lost 60 lbs).
Was on it again 3 years ago and lost 78 lbs.
Now I am returning to it because I feel so much better on it. I am a carb addict since childhood.
I now need to lose 40 lbs and stay on this diet for the rest of my life. I have no joint pain or lethergy when i stay in control of my carbs. I am an RN, work full time in a very busy ER 7 pm to 7 am. One of my DR s uses this diet very successfully and we trade information. everyone else , of course is on the low fat, work out at the gym diet. ( see almost no one with any visable sucess with this.
I need to know what the no caffiene reason is with this. I could not find the reasoning behind it in my current book. Also I have a vegeterian daughter who needs this.
