Default Gotta try this~— yummy toastless BLT!

I was really craving a BLT but didn't want to use up half my daily allowance on low-carb bread, so I made it into a salad similar to Wendy's Chicken BLT salad. Just lettuce, chopped tomatoes, hot cooked crumbled bacon and mayo! It worked out to just 4 carbs a salad and all the fat from the bacon and mayo kept me full for hours.

This is a new favorite food for me, and it's an easy way to get enough fat and veggies into my diet. I wasn't so big on salad before, but with bacon and mayo, who can resist?

Sounds mighty tasty, just chop up an egg in there and it would be perfect for me.

This is how I eat hamburgers. Wendy's is my favorite because they always use one whole piece of sturdy lettuce! The lettuce is always fresh and crispy so it is firm. They also always put the lettuce on top so one side of the lettuce has no mayo on it. I order the JR bacon cheeseburger than I take off the bread and flip the lettuce over to the clean side and eat it like a sandwich. I usually order two. I have heard of people eating lettuce wraps instead of sandwiches to forego the bread. I need to do more of this. It really has helped me.

That's how I eat hamburgers too... but with my mayo I add a tablespoon or so of water to make it "pour" like dressing... plus that way it seems like I get more!

In-N-Out burger has a "protien style" burger which is just the burger wrapped in lettuce and I have to say I LOVE this idea. I wish all the fast food chains did things this way.

Hey that Blt salad sounds wonderful. Have you folks who remove your bun, ever asked for your burgers with out them in the first place? I have done that at both Wendys and Carles JR and they not only allowed it but it was obviouse that they had done it before. They also put the mayo on the side and had the whole thing in a tray even gave me a fork and a knife with out my having to ask.

Gabrielle, McDonalds does that for me about once a week! I order two double cheeseburgers, no ketchup and no bun. The woman at the counter recognizes me by now and usually knows what buttons to push before I order! Depending on who makes the burgers, they either out both on a styrofoam pancake tray with a lid, or in two different cardboard Quarter Pounder boxes. This is so tasty to me, I (usually, almost) don't miss the french fries!

Sausage Extreams from Jack in the Box is really good, the egg and cheese is between the two sausage patties, I will also eat the .99 mcChickens with no buns, the little bit of breading seams to be ok, it is better than blowing it completly

Hehe... gotta share my story about asking for a burger with no bun... I live in a very small town called Holton, KS. I went to a Burger King there and asked for a double-whopper with no bun. The girl on the drive-thru intercom was like, "No BUN?!?!?" as if it were the weirdest thing she had ever heard. And then she gave me the burger with the bun. I thought it was pretty funny. Maybe I'll have to try again in a bigger town or something...
