Stomach Surgery

I'm not sure what the name of the surgery is but it's where they take part of your stomach and it helps you to lose weight. Has anyone had this surgery or know of anyone who has??? I'm curious if it works.

There is also a web site attached to it that chronicles one womans journey with it and all of the consequences. Its a sad but good read.
