Default Tony's Two Carb Pizza

Well, I'm posting this in this forum since we are supposed to be carbing up somewhat. Last night I found a 12" frozen pizza of the lower carb variety in Farm Fresh. I think the brand name was Tony's.

There were two flavor choices. I tried the two cheese one last night. It had a thick whole grain crust that was difficult to slice. Overall it was good and had a very good sauce. Each slice was a net of 2 carbs -- I believe it was 9 less 7 of fiber. The cost was high: $7.99. We decided we prefer making pizzas on La Tortilla Factory low carb wraps, but for a convenient pizza with a thick, toothsome crust it's not a bad choice.

There are a total of 8 slices per pie, so an entire half of the pizza is only 8 carbs. I agree that it is easy to doubt the nutrition information at times. The crust is dark and fairly hard. It definitely contains a lot of fiber. I think it is for real. Now if only one of the chains would "get with the program!"

I think one of the chains would be very successful if they offered a pizza quiche product similar to the one in the recipe section that has an egg and cheese crust.

Default Correction: Todd's Two Carb Pizza

After shopping Farm Fresh again, I realize the product is named Todd's Two Carb Pizza. Here is a link to the web site with nutritional information:

For anyone in BC, Panago Pizza now has a low-carb crust. The pizza range from 3.6 g and up per slice, depending on toppings. You can find the menu on their website.

The crust is thin and more like whole wheat than regular pizza. It wasn't outstanding, but pretty good, and cured my pizza craving.
