Question Shove in oven ideas?

I had a ready-meal of smoked haddock with cheese sauce a couple of afternoons ago, and I was thinking that something like that might well do me for breakfast. Heat up the oven, make coffee, shove meat or fish, cheese, egg, cream or whatever into a little dish and eat it 20 min later. Does anyone do this? Does it all cook together? Would it work with raw bacon? Sausage? Leftovers? Raw fish? Is cream a good idea (culinarily speaking)? How could I use egg and not have it turn into scambled egg?

Any input would be gratefully received, to help me from making several failures before a succesful breakfast of this sort.

Thanks,
Gez

i would just make up a quiche base and then toss in whatever else you want in it, although quiches generally take about 45 minutes to cook. a simple and delicious quiche base i use is just 4 eggs, 1 cup of cream and 1 cup of cheese, just mix those together and then add anything else you want, like meats, spices, and veggies. then put it in a greased dish or pie pan and bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then at 300 for 30 minutes. it takes a while but it is soooooo good. i hope this helps a little. its not the fasting thing to make but could quite possibly be one of the best things you make. peace out.

If you aren't picky about what kind of oven you use, my favorite breakfast casserole works fine for me. Cook up eggs, cheese, sausage, onions, cream (recipe should be in the recipe section) on the weekend. Slice into squares in the pan and pop it in the fridge. Come morning, just lever out a square to make a delicious LC (mine runs 3.2 net carb/square) breakfast that takes about 90 seconds to nuke in the microwave. Gets me out of the house in 5 minutes!
