Unhappy I need help! (I'm a newbie)

I am not trying this as a new years resolution, I have been giving it thought for a few weeks now.
First of all, my name is Kim and I'm 18 years old. I am not sure of my current weight, though I guess to be between 280-300. I am 5'9" so I don't look THAT bad, with my clothes on of course..
I also wear anywhere between size 18 and 24, large to 3x.
I have no idea how to even start this diet, what foods to stay away from. Can I have no bread at all or what? I felt GREAT when I just about starved myself to get to 200 and wore size 16/18, although I'd like to do much better this time, and not torture myself just to look good. I just want to be healthy again.
I have no idea what diet would suit me, so could I get some suggestions? Is there any chart of stuff to stay away from? (Other then junk food which I rarely touch.)
I'm just tired of living this way, hiding all the time and feeling ashamed. Please post if you can set me in the right direction!

Hi there Sinnie, welcome!

Only you can choose the eating plan that will be right for you. Note I didn't say "diet," treating low carbing as a diet means you are likely to put all the weight back on when you recommence eating a high carb diet.

Have a look at "Which low carb plan is right for me?" at the right side of the screen. There are summaries of the major plans there. Choose one that will best suit you and then I strongly urge you to buy the appropriate book and read it thoroughly before starting.

All the best!

Rosebud

Thanks I will look through it! I took a look at a can of soda, carbs are 48g! In that little can? I used to just watch calories, so I hope this LC stuff will work for me.
