Default Vancouver Pot-Luck!

Anyone interested in a pot-luck dinner, Sunday June 2nd?

I'll make dessert, or two, or three!

Thumbs up Already thinking madly

Count me in. I'm already thinking through a few ideas. Mary may join depending on the time and when our guests are arriving.

Sounds good. I'll bring a kind of Shepherd's Pie (ground beef, cauliflower and cheese).

I wouldn't want to miss a great LC feast so I'll be there. Karen, you didn't mention meat, only desserts. Does this mean you won't be roasting a slab of pork? I'm trying to sneak in some bottled sauce

Well, I was hoping that all of the LC'ers in the Vancouver area would be interested in coming, so the slab-o-pork would not be needed. I want to keep this just among forum members, but I may have to supplement with some of my wacky friends!

Rumour has it that you were making satay?

Satay can be arranged, either as appies or mains!

You guys and your potlucks. I'm so envious! I should hire a private jet, and oh-so-private pilot to whisk me out there. I could bring some freshly made, still-squeaky Ontario curd cheese.

Of course! We only have five people so far! In my books, that's a few low-carbers short of a pot luck!

Alas, I can't make it. We're taking possession of the house on Salt Spring on the first, and that weekend's moving day. So sorry to have to miss it!

Default Some wrinkles in plan

This should prove to be an interesting week. The 6pm start will mean that Mary will have to stay home and guard the fort. So unless you can be coaxed out of the kitchen on the 30th Karen, she will have to remain a source of speculation.

Speaking of kitchens, they are going to be ripping mine apart this week. If I can get everything back in shape in time, I want to make the "Memories of California" appetizer I have been plotting. If fact can follow fantasy, it should be great!
