It would depend on where you are from. Most Grocery stores carry liquid splendia. And, Almond flour can probably be purchased at any health food store, but I have never bought the Almond flour so I am not sure.

Good Luck

the almond flour I've bought is Bob's Red Mill brand. Its just ground almonds. I love the taste and texture. I haven't used any of it since December though- I'd found a great recipe on the forums for a 3-minute chocolate cake- I could be addicted to them really easilly so I promised myself I wouldnt eat them until I'd lost quite a bit more.

If you do a search for bob's red mill, there are several online stores where you can purchase it (including www.bobsredmill.com). I've also seen it at my local health food stores and even regular grocery stores that have started carrying more health foods.

I'm in northern Virginia. I haven't been able to find the liquid form anywhere yet--I'll keep searching, thanks!

Congrats on your loss, also!

That chocolate cake sounds great, but I can't be trusted ; ) I want to make some fried fish and I was thinking I could use that for the breading. I don't eat pork so the pork rind thing won't do. I haven't been able to find it anywhere around here, yet, so thanks for the link!

Congrats on your loss!

For almond flour, I just buy almond slivers in the grocery store and grind them in a coffee grinder. It's much cheaper than buying the "almound flour" already ground.

As for liquid Splenda, I haven't seen it in any of the grocery stores by me. I use something called Fiberfit (sweetened soluable fiber) instead. It works perfectly, no after taste, and adds fiber. I purchase it from netrition.com.

I have done fried fish by dipping the fish in a beaten egg and then in parmesean. The parmesean fries really nice and tastes wonderful with the fish.

Thanks, Nancy. I don't have a coffee grinder but maybe I can try that in the food processor. Thanks for the Fiberfit tip!

Congrats on your loss!

Thanks, Ssofian, that sounds yummy! Should I be using fresh parm or that canned stuff? I have fresh parm at home. Now I can't wait to go get me some fish!

Congrats on your loss!

I read on another low carber site that liquiid Splenda is only available to commercial producers in the U.S. I also read that it is available outside the U.S.

LCdancer- thanks for the congrats-

I use the canned cheese for the fish- b/c it seems to adhere better than fresh(otherwise I dont like it except as a coating on fish, chicken, etc.) If you try it with fresh let me know how it works.

Talking Agave Nectar

I don't think liquid splenda is available here. I saw a liquid equal at the grocery store, though.

When I need liquid, I use Agave Nectar. It's a little thinner than honey, but it's low-glycemic.

If you're in Northern Virginia, Whole Foods sells both Almond flour and agave nectar. I live in Maryland right outside of DC.

No liquid splenda in Pennsylvania either. Maybe netrition.com has something similar. Good luck!
