Default Need carb count for....

Tapioca made with Splenda. Would it be low-carb at all? Is it possible, especially for induction?

1 cup of dry tapioca has 135 carbs and 1 gram fiber.

1/4 cup tapioca-dry is 33.47 carbs. Don't even think about prepared puddings-loads of sugars as well as carbs in tapioca.

What is tapioca anyway?? A grain? A seed? fish eyeballs like the kids say?

FYI I went to Fitday.com to look it up-check out that site. OR at the top of the page on this forum look for the Tools folder on the top green bar and click on that . Then click on the carbohydrate counter link and search for the food you are looking for.

We suggest you don't try making your own tapioca at home. Cassava roots have traces of cyanide in them! The ever-resourceful Mayans figured out how to extract this poison for their blow darts, leaving the uncontaminated roots free for eating.

No tapioca for me then. I love the stuff too. I will have to be happy with egg custard. I made some the other night and it was delicious!!! Really hit the spot.
